Gilgandra Shire Council (GSC) is inviting the local community to assist in planning the region’s future over the next 10 years, by joining the conversation around the 2035 Community Strategic Plan (CSP).

The plan is GSC’s highest level planning and is the blueprint that outlines the identified vision, priorities and actions to achieve under the guiding themes of Live, Enjoy, Grow, and Lead. This is the community’s chance to Have Your Say on what you would like to see happen within the Gilgandra Region over the next 10 years.

GSC is inviting the community to come along and interact informally and transparently with councillors and GSC staff. The sessions will provide the opportunity to share your thoughts and provide feedback, as well as hear from GSC staff regarding the Community Insights Survey results.

GSCG mayor, Doug Batten said the feedback gained at the sessions will ensure our plans for the future reflect community priorities.

“I encourage the community to come along to the community sessions, and be a part of the conversation on the services and facilities provided on your behalf. As your representatives, we want to hear your feedback on the current service delivery, as well as the communities’ suggestions and aspirations for the future,” said mayor Batten.

The current CSP and other relevant strategies, such as Gilgandra Activation Blueprint, Local Strategic Planning Statement and more, can be viewed on the council’s website. While the community consultation sessions are part of the GSC’s Have Your Say process, attending in person is not the only way to share your community feedback – there are other options.
