Veterans
Last week (Thursday, February 13) the veterans played a nine-hole stroke. We had 12 players. The winner was Bob Dwyer on a countback from Rob Hay both golfers had a 35 nett. Third place went to Maree Towns-end with a 36 nett. Rob Hay won the nearest the pin. Peter Holland won the average ball on a countback from Graeme Holland.
Rob also won the least amount of putts.
Saturday’s 18-hole stableford
On Saturday, (February 15), we played an 18-hole stableford with 13 golfers taking part. The winner was Todd Meyers with 33 points. Second place went to Bill Welsh with 31 points. Bob Dwyer came in third with 30 points. Gilgandra Toyota nearest the pin was won by Mark Barwick.
Sunday’s Gilgandra Toyota Ambrose
Sunday we had a fantastic showing of golf prowess in the Gilgandra Toyota three-person ambrose. We had 26 teams, which equated to 78 players, who played some fantastic golf. The winning team was Ash Hazelton, Matt Zell and Mark Ferguson with 58 nett. Second place was won by D. Ha-rper, N and H. Lumley with 59 nett. Third place went to Marty Cross, Warwick Cross and V. Williamson with 59 3/6 nett.
