‘Have your say’ on the future of Gilgandra region

Gilgandra Shire Council (GSC) is inviting our residents to complete its Community Insights Survey and join the conversation on the facilities and services provided on your behalf, to assist in planning our future over the next 10 years of the 2034 Community Strategic Plan.

The plan is GSC’s highest-level plan and identifies the community’s main priorities and vision for the region. It is the blueprint that outlines the identified vision, priorities, and actions to achieve under the guiding themes of ‘Live, Enjoy, Grow, and Lead.’

Council is seeking feedback to provide insight into the:

- Level of satisfaction of Gilgandra Region as a place to Live, Enjoy, and Grow.

- Level of satisfaction with council’s overall services and facilities.

- Council’s overall performance.

- Community priorities and focus areas that will directly inform the review of the 2034 Community Strategic Plan, ensuring the community’s plan for our future stays relevant and targets priority areas.

Gilgandra Shire Mayor, Doug Batten, encourages all community members to complete the survey and share their open and honest feedback on the facilities and services delivered on your behalf.

“Since the Gilgandra Region Community Strategic Plan was last reviewed, there has been much progression and change in our region following impacts of drought, floods, and the pandemic, which have left deep imprints on how we live our lives,” Cr Batten said. “Council has made significant progress across a broad range of projects, programs, and services.”

“As your community leader, GSC is dedicated to making the Gilgandra Region a great place to Live, Enjoy, and Grow. The data gathered in the Community Insights Survey will directly inform our 2034 Community Strategic Plan, ensuring that the voices of our residents shape the next decade of growth and improvement for our region.”

Planning and Reporting Timeframe:
