It was a nice cold start to last Saturday (June 1) for Gilgandra Junior Rugby League’s under 14s, but the weather didn’t affect the side with two brilliant performances from the Graham Bugmy-coached outfit.
First up Gilgandra played Coonamble which the boys knew it was going to be a tough game and stayed strong with defence coming away with a win 38-12 with Te Mana Diamond being our player of the match.
Next up the U14s played Baradine and again played a great game to win 44-6 with Kahu Marshall being our player of the match.
In the under eights, Alex Moeris was panther of the week, while in the U10s Toby Starr and George Taylor were players of the match.
Meanwhile, Gilgandra’s under nine netballers picked up their first win of the season.
