Isobel Barry and Lexi Glennister were the Panthers of the Week for the Gilgandra under nine Netball team. Unfortunately, the team went down 7-3, but their defence on the court was outstanding. Some score reports for the U11s, U12s, and U14s were still pending at the time of submission.
The U14s had two games on Saturday. They played Coonamble and then Baradine, winning both games convincingly 40-4. Hayden Brereton and Lloyd Hammond were the U14 Panthers of the Week.
The U12s had a great win over Coonamble, triumphing 34-6. With only two on the bench, all the kids got extended time, which was great to see, and they all contributed to a try at some point. Standouts included Khyran O’Neill and Ryder Larkin.
The U10s also played two games against Baradine and Coonamble. Wiriana Marshall and Kahlell Priddis were the Panthers of the Week for their team.
For round eight this weekend, the Junior Panthers will head to Dunedoo. Afterward, there will be a break for school holidays, with the first round back being a home game on July 27, where they will celebrate Indigenous round.
