It’s been a great year for me at the newspaper, but unfortunately, it’s time to move on. As of last week (Friday, February 28), I have officially left my position as journalist for The Gilgandra Weekly.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time getting to know Gil, both as a journo and beyond my role.

I’ve been blessed to have this opportunity, especially for someone as young and inexperienced as I am.

For the next few months, I plan on doing casual work around Dubbo to keep some cash flowing, before trying my luck at moving overseas, hopefully to someplace unique like Japan.

After that, who knows? I certainly don’t. Thank you for taking the time to know me and welcome me.

I also say thank you to The Gilgandra Weekly for giving me this chance.

I cannot express enough my gratitude to this town and its people. Best of luck for all futures to come.

All the best, Nick.
