Reader's Forum: Special Valentine’s Day dinner at Coo-ee Heritage Centre
Submitted by Shirley Marks.

Congratulations to Caffeinity Coffee & Wine Co for hosting a special Valentine’s Day dinner at the CHC (Coo-ee Heritage Centre) on Friday, February 14.
Tables were beautifully set with white linen tablecloths, red silk rose petals, red and silver heart-shaped chocolates and a long stemmed silk red rose (I guess just in case your partner had forgotten!!) The table was completed with shining wine glasses and sparkling cutlery.
It was great to see that so many couples had taken this opportunity to spend the evening in this unique venue (staff having obviously put much work into moving the furniture around to accommodate all the tables for two).
Leanne, maître d’ for the evening, ensured that her team offered us a drink from the extensive wine menu, took the meal order, when selections were made, then served a bread roll to keep us munching until our entrée arrived. The menu provided sufficient choices to cater for varying tastes, the meals (ours anyway) were just the correct size to enable us to take advantage of the three course meal (though two may have been sufficient!). Chef Marissa did great work in the kitchen.
Many congratulations to Leanne for all the planning and work she put into this event, as she does for any occasion that she caters for – well done! Also to all the staff who worked that evening, many of whom would have been on duty again in the coffee shop next morning.
Thank you to all for a lovely evening.
An additional comment I would make – not all of us are on social media – so perhaps an advert in the local newspaper would be helpful for future occasions.
This could apply to many businesses in town who have so much to offer, however may miss out on some patronage as not everyone is ‘on line.’
